Rotten Timber Repair

Refit of an ageing launch, including structural timber replacement, transom modification, hard-top extension, new windows and full repaint.

The Challenge

  • Rotten timber around cockpit and transom reducing structural strength
  • Narrow, awkward transom limiting safe access to the swim platform
  • Short hard top and dated, leaking windows giving poor weather protection
  • Faded, uneven paint leaving the boat looking worn and exposed to the elements

Our Solution

  • Removed and replaced all rotten timber
  • Cut and rebuilt the transom to create wider, safer access at the stern
  • Extended the hard top to improve shelter over the cockpit
  • Installed new cabin windows to suit the updated profile and stop leaks
  • Faired, primed and repainted the hull and superstructure for a clean, durable finish
